Easy installation method of WordPress

Contract for X server

To install WordPress easily, use “WordPress Easy Installation”, a server ( web hosting ) called X server.

First, register for an account and apply for services from the X server site. Please fill in the required items in “New application” and complete the registration. You will receive a server account setup completion email within up to 24 hours after completion.

Log in to the X server

Next, go to the X server site and open the login screen. Check the account information contained in the server account setting completion email, enter your email address and password, and log in.

Set up MySQL (database)

Before installation, you need to create a database for WordPress. MySQL means a database tools for WordPress.

After logging in to the X server, click “Add MySQL” in the server panel of the X server and create a database name to use. The database name will automatically be “your server ID_database name”, so set the character code to “UTF-8”.

Make various settings during installation

Here, make various settings when installing WordPress. First, enter the site URL, blog name, user name, password, and email address. Then, select “Turn on” in “Automatic cache deletion”.

Change login information

As the number of users of WordPress increases, unauthorized access is increasing. To prevent unauthorized login, change the login information registered during installation. Login information refers to your user ID and login password. It takes a little time to change the user ID, so let’s change it with just the login password.

First, log in to WordPress. Select “Users” on the administration screen and click “Your Profile”. After that, when you click “Generate Password” in “Account Management”, a strong password that is difficult to log in illegally is automatically created. Make a note of the newly created password so that you do not forget it, and click “Update Profile”.

Introducing the WordPress theme

If you install it on the X server, SSL settings will be added as standard, so you do not need to do any work for SSL, but I will explain it just in case.

Click “SSL Settings” from the server panel of the X server and select the domain you want to use SSL. Click “Add your own SSL settings”, check that the domain to be set is correct, and select “Add” on the confirmation screen.

This completes SSL conversion.

 

Permalink settings

Next, let’s set the permalink. A permalink is a URL set for each page of your website. If you do not set the permalink first, problems may occur, so be sure to set the permalink at the first stage.

Here, the WordPress permalink is set by the post name (post name). Select “Settings” on the WordPress administration screen and click the “Permalink Settings” button. Then, check “Post Name” from the displayed items and click “Save Changes”.

I will explain the procedure to delete the meta information. Click “Widget” of “Appearance” in the menu of the management screen. The widget you are using will be displayed on the right side of the screen, so select “Meta Information”.

The next step is to remove the sample page posted by default during installation. The sample page doesn’t need to exist, so try to remove it. Click “Post List” in the menu “Posts” on the management screen. Then select the title “Hello world!” And click “Trash”.
