Hosting Recommendation for Big WooCommerce site – 200-400k pageviews a month

Looking to shift my big old WordPress site (with a couple of subdomains, a woocommerce install, and between 200-400k pageviews a month) to a new host
Anyone have recommendations for a good web hosting that can manage a large site, can migrate it for a reasonable cost, and support a customer with a moderate amount of technical knowledge (I can manage WordPress but would need support with more technical hosting issues).
Thank you.

Answers:

What hosting are you using right now? That’s a lot of traffic to have achieved without considering page speed.

A safe one in that range is probably SiteGround and will probably be familiar.

NOT SiteGround. Do your own research … there is a mass exodus going on right now from that company. Massive price increase and support that will make you tear your hair out! (I know, experienced it personally years ago.)

Some people are going, but also many others are coming – judging by the users’ comments in all these Facebook groups. You can search history of this and other FB groups and you will see there is 100 people = 100 (different) hosting opinions with their good or bad experiences and personal stories.
You know how big budget you have & your technical knowledge, how many visitors you (roughly) expect, check hostings’ prices for the 1st and next years – also for the discounts in case of more years renewal, and go with your decision, whatever it will be.
Good luck!

would you suggest to migrate such site to Jelastic WordPress on one of local service providers? you played with it, so can judge from user’s perspective

Sure, that can be nice too. I suspect she’s more accustomed to cheap shared hosting and fixed billing but I’m sure Jelastic would be nice for her, too.

I think you need to look at a smaller provider who can help you. I would advice a VPS with NVME disks if you have so much pageviews a month.

Since you mentioned you need someone to manage your technical hosting issues, we are a managed cloud hosting provider that offers expert cloud hosting support along with a platform where you can managed the technical side of your hosting in just a few clicks.
For a WooCommerce site that is getting around 400k pageviews a month, I would suggest a Vultr HF server with 8GB RAM, 160GB SSD Storage, 4TB Bandwidth and 4 Core Processor. Let me know if you want to know more about us, or you can book a demo with one of our product specialist and you will have a better idea of what we offer and if we are a good fit for you or not.

It seems like you would need managed WordPress hosting solution, Kinsta does migrations well.Cloudways (Vultr) And I believe they can take care of first few migrations as well.

Try cloud (DigitalOcean or Vultr) – with runcloud or cloudways. You will be happy.

Liquidweb is perfect for this kind of traffic, using Vultr high frequency server. 100% 🙂 and Stay away from SiteGround. Liquid Web is perfect for you.

Yes, for dedicated server, Liquid Web is good option. Pricing is also good. Other consideration for high traffic website is WPEngine. For small blog website, I use Asphostportal. I can’t recommend them enough, affordable price and renewal rate remain same.
