Very interesting in hearing people’s experience with Wpengine managed WordPress hosting. We have upgraded to the p1 plan and have our own dedicated server but still get poor google page speed results.
Could be that we use elementor and other visual builders on our site but could also be the hosting. Does anyone right now have a good google page speed score and are using a visual builder hosted with wpengine?

The P1 isn’t a true dedicated server – it’s just a dedicated amount of resources on a shared box. Which they refuse to tell you exactly what resources are dedicated with any actual metrics.
We hosted 100+ sites over two P1 accounts and for the most part they performed fine. Small sites mainly. The large ones required us to look elsewhere, and we eventually moved them to GridPane. And then we moved all of the smaller ones as well.
But yes – to answer your question, a P1 account should perform well for small sites if they’re coded well.
